JoJo Offerman shared her thoughts about The Wyatt Sicks at a recent signing with Southern Wrestling Autographs.
Offerman admits that while she loves the fact that her late husband’s memory is carried on through this angle, it can be difficult to watch.
She said, “It’s bittersweet for me.” “I love it because of many reasons. I love that his legacy is strong and he is still out there. His spirit is out in the world through his brother. And I love it, or Bo because if Windham had wanted anything, it would be for his family, for his brother, to succeed.
“I’m happy that Bo will be able to carry on the legacy, but it can be really hard at times because it acts as a trigger for my emotions. I’ve learned this, and at times I’ve had no choice but to put my phone away and not watch it.
Offerman says that she will often ask Liv Morgan and Samantha Irvin if they can warn her about anything that might be upsetting on the show.
“I didn’t know that the debut was happening, and when his music came on I couldn’t stop crying all night.” “It was full-on anxiety attacks for me.”
Offerman, despite finding it difficult to watch the show, says she supports the group’s inclusion in WWE programming.
“I’ve made it work as best I can, because I do support,” continued the woman.
“I love it, as I said, that his legacy is still alive and his children can see it, but the part for me that is the worst is personal. It’s me. I spent endless hours with him, working on the song and the character. “I spent days, weeks, and months on it.”
She continued, “He would turn towards me if he was forced to choose between like three things.”
Offerman said that Wyatt would often come to her with feedback on music.
“Jamie, from Code Orange, reached out to me. He was insistent that I be okay with the use of the music again. I said: ‘As soon as you approve it, I’m fine with it. ‘”
Uncle Howdy was portrayed by Bray Wyatt’s brother Taylor Rotunda. He made his debut in the ring on WWE Raw 26 August, just three days following the first anniversary Wyatt’s death. He defeated Chad Gable.
