John Cena has committed to ending his WWE ring career before he turns 50.

Cena, who will turn 47 next month revealed earlier this year he planned to retire from the ring by the time he turns 50. He reaffirmed those comments in a recent interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show. He called 50 his “absolute sand line.”

Cena said, “50 is my absolute limit.” “I’d like to try and do it before then. At 50, I will tweet “Peace out and see you.” That’s all, I’m done.”

Cena said that he has many other things he wants in life to explore, such as being a good husband to his wife.

“WWE was my passion 24 hours a day. Cena said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with WWE. But I’ve grown since then and I’m curious about other things in life.” “And being a great partner and husband is certainly one of them.” So I want to do my best in these areas.”

Cena said he would prefer his final match at The O2 Arena, London.

Cena could be in WWE full time last fall because Hollywood was on strike. After the strike ended in November, he returned to his acting career.

Cena teased in recent media interviews that he may make an appearance at WWE WrestleMania 40. The two-night event will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday, 6 April and Sunday, 7 April.
