John Cena will be in Springfield.
The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, and showrunner Matt Selman participated in a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con last weekend. They revealed some news about the upcoming 36th Season. They announced that “Bart’s Birthday” will be the title of the season premiere, which will feature Cena, Conan O’Brien Tom Hanks and Danny DeVito.
Selman said, “It is a star-studded premiere.” “It is a bold, big concept.”
Cena is the second wrestler to be featured on The Simpsons, after Bret Hart. Hart bought Mr. Burns’ home after he lost all his money. This episode, “The Old Man and the Lisa,” first aired April 20, 1997.
Cena announced his retirement plans at Money in the Bank, earlier this month. Cena would later clarify in the post-event press scrum that although next year’s WrestleMania is his last, he intends to continue performing until the end 2025.
“It won’t end at WrestleMania. This WrestleMania is my last WrestleMania, but hopefully, everything will go according to plan and we’ll be going straight from January to December,” Cena stated.
