You can expect to see Joe Hendry if you mention his name in the WWE Performance Center.
Hendry appeared as a guest on Matt Camp’s new show The Wrestling Matt on Wednesday. He revealed that he trains at the PC full time thanks to the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA.
“We’re in a situation in which TNA Wrestling and WWE have worked out a deal where I can appear in TNA Wrestling, NXT and I can train full-time at the Performance Center and do indies, as well as signings. This is unprecedented. This has never been done in the business before. Hendry said, “Thank you TNA and WWE for figuring out how to do it.”
Hendry discussed his reasons for training at Performance Center, and what it was like to work with Shawn Michaels.
“My view is that you can only do the best you can with the information you have at the moment. So, I just prepare, prepare, prepare. I don’t have an ego when it’s about getting better. That’s why I train at the Performance Center. I don’t want to be satisfied with the skills I have, I always want to improve.
Later on, he said:
“I had an extended conversation with Shawn Michaels yesterday night. The mentorship of Shawn Michaels was incredible. “Everybody wins because this collaboration between TNA Wrestling NXT is such a good thing.”
“Shawn is giving me an amazing opportunity from a training perspective. Shawn said, ‘Hey this door is opened, if you’d like to train at the Performance Center we’ll open that door. I was like ‘Lets do it. ‘”
Hendry said that he needed to spend a week in Orlando to sort out the “real life” stuff he had back home.
“Right now I’m training in the Performance Center, and I’m in Orlando, and I’m getting an amazing opportunity to learn, let’s face it, from the greatest in-ring performers of all time.” Shawn’s desire to help me grow and build on my strengths makes me want even more to succeed for TNA Wrestling, and WWE.
Hendry was attacked by the three members of Gallus after he performed a concert last night on NXT. He is scheduled to wrestle Joe Coffey as a singles competitor on the show next week. He will be participating in TNA’s upcoming taped this weekend in Tampa.
