As you may have noticed recently, TNA star Joe Hendry is popping up on WWE NXT. He made his on-screen appearance a month ago, and then returned this month to join Trick Williams in a team against Ethan Page, and Shawn Spears.
Hendry announced on Tuesday that he was staying, so we can expect to see him more on WWE-produced television.
In a recent video interview, you can watch below, I asked Hendry to tell me about his experiences with NXT as well as working with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. In his response, Hendry noted that he had scored the winning pinfall in the tag team match mentioned above, which he believes people don’t understand.
“…My experience in WWE and NXT was everything I could have hoped for. I couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere, a more encouraging environment. People are happy to work there. I feel like they have treated TNA so well. Shawn’s willingness to spend time with me to give advice, guide and teach. I don’t think people realize what a big deal it is that TNA got the pin at a WWE main event. Shawn Michaels’s faith in me is what I hope fans will understand. He has done so much for me and TNA. “I can only speak for me, but I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to learn from people on both sides and to be in this situation.”
Hendry will be looking to win his TNA World Title in the main event at tonight’s Slammiversary, in a six way match.
