Jim Ross will be traveling to New York City for AEW x NJPW’s Forbidden Door.
Ross’ eligibility for the pay-per view was questioned earlier this week when he had to visit the ER after experiencing difficulty breathing. The announcing icon has had health issues on and off and was forced to miss AEW Double or Nothing in May due to the flu, elevated heart enzymes and breathing problems.
Ross tweeted: “Flying to NYC on Saturday for #ForbiddenDoor.” “Wouldn’t miss it @AEW.”
This Sunday, June 30, Forbidden Door will be held at UBS Arena Long Island. This is the third consecutive year that AEW & NJPW are collaborating for the event.
Ross announced in March that he signed a contract with AEW. Ross’ role in the one-year contract is to commentate at AEW PPV. Ross is happy in his role and hopes that he will get more commentary assignments along the way.
