Ross never imagined WWE would become as out of hand as it is alleged to have become.

Jim Ross never imagined Vince McMahon could allow WWE to become as out of control it became.

Ross discussed the situation with McMahon on this week’s episode. This follows the allegations made in Janel Grant’s lawsuit. Grant, a former WWE worker, has accused McMahon, of physical and mental abuse, sexual assault and sex slavery.

Ross said, “I never thought Vince would let his company get out of control – and it did.” Ross said that he believes it’s time for people to get some peace and rest.

There are many changes afloat. I will be happy when the winds blow through this change. I’m tired. It’s embarrassing that this has happened. It has affected many innocent people. This is my opinion, but I could be wrong. It’s time to move forward. It’s time for some people to rest and find peace. It’s time for me to move on. Vince never would have allowed his company to spiral out of control, but it did. I feel bad about it because I know what the WWE meant to Vince. I’m sure that it still does in some way. It’s time. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go back and try again.

McMahon quit WWE and TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE, after Grant’s suit was filed. In the lawsuit, McMahon and WWE are named as defendants. McMahon is vowing to vigorously defend against the allegations.

Conrad Thompson, the co-host of Grilling JR, asked Ross what he thought about how the lawsuit would affect McMahon’s legacy. Ross believes that it will have a small impact on McMahon’s legacy, but not a major one. Ross said that you won’t be able take away the legacy McMahon built in WWE.

It will affect it, but not to a great extent. It won’t cause a seismic shift, because Vince McMahon is still Vince McMahon. He’s still built an amazing company that we in pro wrestling still celebrate and play off of. I think it’s about time we all moved on to happier days and built from there. You’ll never be in a position to diminish what Vince has built and how much he has helped many people. I mean, a lot guys who are making a living from pro wrestling can look at it in any way they want, but if you’re being honest, they will see Vince McMahon in their mirror because he is the catalyst for a lot this change, the incomes increasing and all that. So, I wish it was all over. I wish that we had moved on, that all these issues had been resolved, and that we were now in happier times. I still remember the old WWE days and I think the world and the business need happier days.

I’m grateful I got the chance to work at that company. I’m even happier that I get to work with Tony Khan at AEW. It’s all good, man. Conrad, it’s all good. We must build on the positives. At my age and health condition, I am trying to do that. It’s important to me to focus on the positives. That’s what I am trying to do.

Ross was the voice for WWE in his years of working as a commentator. Ross, a WWE Hall of Famer and former executive vice president of WWE’s talent relations, served for a time as the company’s executive Vice President of Talent Relations.
