Damian Priest has revealed his first title rival.
The first WWE World Heavyweight Championship Challenger for Damian Priest will be announced following Monday’s Raw After WrestleMania.
Jey Uso, with CM Punk’s help, won a four-way match to determine the number one contender on Monday’s Raw. He pinned Drew McIntyre and became the top challenger for Priest.
McIntyre appeared to have the match won when he sized Uso up for a Claymore Kick. But Punk popped from under the ring and grabbed McIntyre’s leg. Uso was able to win the match with a superkick, a top-rope splash and a superkick.
Bronson Reed and Ricochet also competed in the number one contenders’ match, but they were eliminated by the end after Ricochet hit Reed through the announce table with a springboard-450.
Priest won the World Heavyweight Championship on Sunday night two of WrestleMania, by cashing in the Money in the Bank contract he had with McIntyre. McIntyre won the title by defeating Seth Rollins in Sunday’s opening match, but he was vulnerable for the Cash-in due to a brawl at ringside with Punk.
There is no date yet announced for the Priest vs. Uso championship match.
