Jesse Ventura “is on the verge” being back under contract to WWE.
Ventura updated his relationship with WWE, and the talks about a Legends deal during an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight. Ventura said that the deal has been agreed upon and both sides just need to sign it.
“My relationship with them has improved greatly,” he said. “We are at the point where we can sign contracts. Contracts have been written and agreements have been made. All that is needed now is two signatures – one from me and one from them. “I will be back with Legends.”
Ventura was asked whether there is a deadline for the deal.
“Fairly quickly,” was his response. “Because money is time.”
Ventura, 73, has been in discussions with WWE for months about the Legends deal. In July, Ventura visited WWE Raw from Minnesota. Ventura told Van Vliet WWE is now more mainstream and corporate.
Ventura, a legendary commentator and wrestler who was inducted into WWE Hall of Fame 2004. He served as Minnesota governor from 1999-2003.
