Jeff Hardy wants to put things right after his personal issues impacted The Hardy Boyz’s run with AEW.
Hardy was arrested in Florida for DUI on June 20, 2022. Hardy, who has struggled with substance abuse throughout his life, entered a nolo contendre plea and was not sentenced to jail. His license was suspended by 10 years.
Jeff’s arrest prevented the Hardys from winning the AEW Tag Team title in 2022. They were with AEW from its inception until they left the company earlier this summer. The legendary duo has reunited in TNA Wrestling.
Jeff told Busted Open Radio that his goal for TNA is to win Tag Team titles. He feels “so guilty and shame” for breaking people’s trust in AEW, and wants to make it up to his brother Matt.
Jeff replied, “Definitely to win TNA Tag Team titles.” “I have so much guilt, shame and regret within me. Just from AEW allowing me to be in the team and Matt giving me a chance. I also broke trust with my real life issues. So, I want to make it up to Matt. I can assure you that I will never break TNA’s confidence. It’s all in the past. I feel good about starting fresh, without any guilt or shame.
Jeff says that sobriety and recovery are important. The support of his family is everything to him.
“So many beautiful things have happened since I last ran into the law,” he said. “It is like an enlightenment with everything around me. Especially nature. “The force of nature is an enormous drive with my inner love.”
