The latest development in the Grant Vs. Vince McMahon case is that celebrity doctor Carlon Colker retracted his petition/complaint filed against Janel Grant.
Colker’s Peak Wellness facility filed a lawsuit against Grant in August, alleging that her efforts were part a “smear” campaign. This was in response to Grant’s July petition for medical records pertaining to her treatment at the clinic in relation to her ongoing sex-trafficking lawsuit against WWE and John Laurinaitis.
Grant’s team filed a motion for the complaint to be struck and a special motion to sanction both Colker, and Peak Wellness, including attorney fees awarded to Grant.
Colker’s legal department retracted the complaint on Wednesday, while Grant’s petition remains in place against Colker and Peak Wellness.
In the original Grant lawsuit, Colker was named as the “celebrity physician”. She claimed that McMahon had directed her to Peak Wellness, Greenwich, CT to receive IV infusions, and supplements, without knowing what she meant. She claimed that the medical records Colker has provided up to this point have been inconsistent and incomplete.
Ann Callis, Grant’s attorney, told Post Wrestling that Dr. Colker had withdrawn his baseless lawsuit. This was filed in the same vein as McMahon’s recent motion that was struck down. It was simply another frivolous effort to intimidate Ms. Grant.
