TNA Wrestling’s new era will feature a new ring announcement.

Jade Chung was named today as the new ring announcer of TNA Wrestling. She replaces David Penzer, who finished his promotion at Final Resolution earlier in the month.

Scott D’Amore, TNA Wrestling President, thanked Penzer at Final Resolution and presented him a trophy in the ring. Penzer stated that he will not be retiring.

Penzer wrote in social media that the “incredible” send-off he received from the promotion had left him speechless. Penzer said it was the classiest thing that he had ever seen in the world of wrestling.

Penzer wrote: “[Thanks] Scott D’Amore. I’ll be cheering from the sidelines.”

Chung joined the Impact Wrestling team in May, where he played a variety of roles including ring announcing and hosting pre-shows at Impact events.

Chung was a wrestler and manager in the ROH roster during the 2000s. She was a part of the ROH promotion with her husband Josh Alexander before joining Impact’s broadcasting team.

Chung said that she is “crazy excited” about her new role and ready to rock the microphone and make her peers happy.

Alexander wrote, “Very proud this lady.” “20+ years in wrestling. She takes everything she does seriously, whether it’s wrestling, managing, photographing or ring announcing. Now as the official ring announcement for the new era #TNAWrestling.”

The new era of TNA Wrestling begins at Hard to Kill, Saturday 13th January. On Saturday, January 13, the name change of Impact Wrestling into TNA will take place.
