IYO SKY is back in Japan.
The former WWE Women’s Champion competed in the comain event of Saturday’s Marigold Summer Destiny at Sumo Hall. She defeated Utami Haashishita with a tombstone pilferer and a moonsault. After the match she thanked Hayashishita and WWE.
SKY wore a mask that was similar to her Stardom mask and her WWE music before the match.
Sareee defeated Giulia in the main event of Marigold’s Summer Destiny to become the first Marigold World Champion. Giulia will compete in Marigold events until she eventually moves to WWE.
SKY’s debut comes as WWE is lending talent to other promotions, such as TNA and Pro Wrestling NOAH. SKY wrestled before AJ Styles and Naomichi Marufuji faced off in the double main event at Saturday’s NOAH destination event. On that show, it was announced that NXT’s Josh Briggs will compete in this year’s N1 Victory Tournament.
