IWGP World championship match for next AEW dynamite in todays Wrestling news
Jon Moxley is now set to defend the IWGP World Title on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the IWGP World Championship title will be defended.
Jon Moxley defends the IWGP World Championship against Powerhouse Hobbs for the first time ever on Dynamite. Don Callis revealed in Collision that he made phone calls to Japan, and as a consequence, their singles match at Dynamite was turned into a title bout.
Moxley praised Callis’s move at the start of Rampage. He said that he didn’t care if the match was for his title as he had never planned to lose. He knew Hobbs was special, but if he didn’t find that on Wednesday, Hobbs will learn a bitter lesson.
Moxley won his title last Friday by pinning Tetsuya Niito at NJPW Windy City Riot, in Chicago. Ren Narita attacked him after he tried to call out Shota umino following his title win. Moxley will defend his title against Narita on May 4 at Wrestling Dontaku. The winner of this match will defend the title against Umino on 11 May.
