Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame announces first class of inductees for 2024 in todays Wrestling news
Trent Acid is the class 2024’s first member.
The Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame announced the first inductee into its 2024 class.
The Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame, created by Game Changer Wrestling magazine and Orange Crush, was first established in the year 2022. The induction ceremony is held as part of GCW’s The Collective each year during WrestleMania Week.
The 2024 ceremony will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Philadelphia, on Sunday afternoon, April 7. The ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube.
Trent Acid is the newest member of the class. Johnny Kashmere, his former tag-team partner, will induct Acid. They were known as The Backseat Boys and held titles with numerous promotions, including ROH and CZW.
In 2010, Acid (real name Michael Verdi), died of a drug-induced overdose. He was 29.
Philadelphia was Acid’s home town.
Acid becomes the 13th person to join the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame. There were six inductees in both 2022 and 2023:
