Ilja Dragunov, the NXT Champion, made a surprise appearance on The Raw after WrestleMania.
Dragunov defeated Shinsuke Nakamura on Monday night. Dragunov is joining the WWE’s main roster. He has declared for the WWE Draft, which will take place at the end this month.
Dragunov made his Raw debut, and it was the first time he wrestled on the main roster. Dragunov kicked Nakamura in the face when he attempted a Kinshasa at the end of the match. He then hit Torpedo Moscow, an H-Bomb and a powerbomb to win.
Dragunov defended his NXT Championship this past Saturday against Tony D’Angelo at NXT Stand & Deliver. Dragunov holds the title since September 20,23.
Dragunov is a former NXT United Kingdom champion who is originally Russian. He was one of Gunther’s biggest rivals, and the two have had highly praised matchups against each other in WWE as well as outside of it.
The 2024 WWE Draft will start on April 26th episode of SmackDown, and end on April 29th episode of Raw.
