Hangman Page is in London for AEW all In despite the fact that he does not have a match on the show.
The former AEW world champion told Paste Magazine he will not reveal his plans for the pay-per view on Sunday, but he does have an idea of what he would like to do.
“Well, I bought a flight.” I booked a room. Page said, “I will be physically at All In.” “I won’t tell you what I intend to do, or my thoughts. But I will be at All In because they want me to book a match. I have opinions about which match I would like to attend if I could get my way in. I have my own ideas about what I would like to do at Wembley, and I will be there.”
“Like I said before, I won’t tell you what I think. I don’t think it’s important to make this clear to you or anyone. I don’t understand how this would benefit me at all. I wanted to know how you got my number because I had to update it. Jeff gave you this number?”
Page was just one win away winning the Owen Hart Cup, and qualifying for a AEW World championship match against Swerve Strickland, his longtime rival at All In. He told Paste Strickland should never have won the AEW World Championship, as he had once attacked Page in his home during their feud.
“Well, he’s got something he shouldn’t have gotten (the AEW world championship). I’ve made my mission to ensure that he never holds the AEW world championship after he did the things he did. I always felt the AEW was something earned, and not just by hard work or winning matches. It was something, I don’t know, cosmological about being right or doing the right thing.
“I made it my mission to ensure that he never held it. Someone who had done the things he did should never be allowed hold that above their heads to say that they were the best. He’s not the best of humanity, he is the worst. But I was suspended. I was away for four months. I had to stay at home. I had to be told about it. I had to hear about it. I had to see it. I had to watch him carry it. I had to watch the crowds cheer him on when he brought it out. It was just impossible. It was impossible. It was impossible. He shouldn’t have won it. He shouldn’t be holding it today. He shouldn’t be allowed to have it today. “It should be mine.”
Page also addressed Strickland’s opponent at AEW All in, Bryan Danielson.
“I want to show a stark contrast between how (Danielson), and I, feel about that championship. I don’t want to hold it again. I don’t like it when it’s in someone else’s hands. I wouldn’t be okay with this situation as it is right now. If that’s what (Danielson), the World champion or the championship champion, feels about it then I can’t respect that at all.
