Gunther vs. Sami Zayn IC Title Match Official for WWE WrestleMania 40 in todays Wrestling news
Zayn won the gauntlet match for the number one contender on Monday’s Raw.
Sami Zayn will be at WrestleMania.
Zayn won a gauntlet match at Raw, earning him the right to face Gunther next month for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania. Zayn rolled up Chad Gable after Gable tried to submit with an ankle lock. Zayn hugged Gable, but the show ended as Gunther’s song played.
In the first match, Ricochet defeated JD McDonagh. Bronson Reed beat Ricochet. Reed attacked Zayn after Reed’s victory. Zayn still went on to beat Nakamura and then pin Gable in the final.
In recent weeks, multiple WWE stars have been trying to get Adam Pearce’s attention in order to face Gunther during WrestleMania. Pearce announced that a gauntlet-style match would be held to determine the number one contender.
