Great-O-Khan and Yuya Uemura Present KOPW stipulations on Road to Dontaku in todays Wrestling news
Rural Revitalization II may take place on the 27th of April.
Great-O-Khan has chosen the stipulations of their upcoming KOPW match.
The two will face off for the provisional KOPW championship at NJPW’s Road to Dontaku in Hiroshima, on April 27. According to KOPW rules a fan vote determines the rules of the match.
Great-O Khan has proposed a new Rural Revitalization Match with stipulations that are specifically tailored to the city Hiroshima. Uemura proposed a match with catch-rules.
Yuya Uemura’s rules:
- 61-minute time limit, best of three falls, Catch Rules
- No strikes allowed. Grapples, throws, and submissions only for pinfall or submission.
Great-O-Khan’s rules:
- Rural Revitalization Rules
- No time limit, best two of three falls
- First fall: Mazda Tire Carrying Contest
- Second fall: Hiroshima Lemon Eating Contest
- Third fall: Table Match
“Similar in nature to his fight with Tanga Loa last month in Shizuoka, O-Khan has chosen to ‘unite fiefdoms’ throughout Japan by putting a Hiroshima twist on his three stipulations,” NJPW1972.com reports.
Rural Revitalization rules are two-of-three-falls, with unique stipulations per fall.
Great-O Khan explained the rules of the first fall during a press conference held on Thursday.
What is famous in Hiroshima? Mazda! Mazda tires and cars are well-known. The first person to bring four tires in the ring wins. We promise to please the Hiroshima peasants and make them proud.
The second match will be a similar eating contest to the first Rural Revitalization match. It will feature a local food that is well-known. This time, competitors will compete to eat as many Hiroshima Lemons as possible.
The third match will be a standard table match.
Another proposed stipulation says that if Uemura loses, he must “buy 100 lemons and drive a Mazda going forward.”
Great-O-Khan said:
You are a loser and you deserve this prize! It’s an honor! We will drive Mazdas or buy 100 lemons! We will make Hiroshima proud!
Uemura proposed a Catch Rules Match.
The match will be contested in 61 minutes, with the best two falls out of three. NJPW1972.com explains the rules of the match: “No strikes will be permitted in favor of throws and submissions.”
Uemura stated at the press conference today:
I chose these rules, because O-Khan was the champion. I have more reasons, but I will tell you when I win the title.
Uemura stated that, under his rules the loser must purchase 20 of Hiroshima’s famous oysters.
