Giulia will defend the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship on a date to be announced as she enters her last month with Stardom.
Giulia will defend her title against Stephanie Vaquer during Stardom’s Stardom show at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo on Sunday March 10. Giulia is the Strong Women’s champion since she won the title from Willow Nightingale back in July 2023.
Tokyo Sports confirmed this week that Giulia informed Bushiroad, Stardom and NJPW parent company, that she would leave Stardom at the expiration of her contract in March. Giulia will help Rossy Ogawa launch a new promotion, and then join WWE.
Ogawa is one of the founding members of Stardom. His contract with Bushiroad has been terminated earlier this week.
Vaquer holds the Women’s Championship as well as Women’s Tag Team Titles in CMLL.
Vaquer took part in the NJPW’s inaugural Strong Women’s Champion tournament, which was held on a single night in 2023. She lost to Mercedes Mone at the first round.
Vaquer will be appearing for NJPW in Chicago at the promotion’s Windy City Riot on Friday, April 12th.
