Kidd is recovering after injuries sustained in NJPW New Begining in Osaka.
Due to injury, Gabe Kidd has been forced to withdraw from the RevPro High Stakes event.
Rev Pro announced on X that Kidd will be absent from Sunday’s show because of injuries he sustained in a cage-match that took place at NJPW’s New Beginnings in Osaka on February 11. Trent Seven will replace Kidd for his match against NJPW Shingo Takagi.
The company wrote:
Gabe Kidd is not cleared to compete in tomorrow’s High Stakes due to injuries sustained during the historic NJPW cagematch last week. We had to make a late decision that nobody (including Gabe), wanted to make.
While we are disappointed, we believe that the health of our athletes is paramount and we should not just think about today.
Trent Seven, fresh off his impressive performance against Connor Mills will now compete against Shingo Takagi.
We appreciate your understanding and hope you will join in wishing Gabe Kidd an accelerated recovery.
Kidd was a part of a 10-man steel cage match at New Beginning, Osaka. Bullet Club War Dogs defeated United Empire in Will Ospreay’s final match as an NJPW wrestler. Ospreay is scheduled to wrestle against Michael Oku at High Stakes.
