Four Horsemen’s Ole Anderson dies at 81 in todays Wrestling news

Anderson was the founding member of this stable.

Ole Anderson has died. He was a founding member and one of the Four Horsemen.

Ricky Morton, former NWA star, wrote on Instagram that Anderson, age 81, passed away.

“Rest in Paradise Ole Anderson,” wrote he. “You taught to me so much about professional wrestling. You were a tough cookie. “You will be missed, My friend.”

Ric Flair took to social media as well to comment on Anderson’s death.

“I Will Always Be Thankful To Ole and Gene For Bringing me In To Crockett Promotions as A Cousin. “It launched my career,” he wrote. “I will be forever grateful for you giving me the opportunity to become who I am today. We didn’t always agree with each other, but the truth is that you and Gene started me. Rest In Peace, My Friend!”

Anderson (Alan Robert Rogowski), billed as Gene Anderson’s brother, joined Jim Crockett Promotions. Together, they were known by the name Minnesota Wrecking Crew. In 1986, he was part of the original Horsemen line-up with Flair, Arn Andersen, Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon. He was also a member of WCW’s Booking Committee in 1990 and 1993. This was shortly before Eric Bischoff took over the company in 1994.
