After a long illness, German wrestler Absolute Andy has died.
wXw released a statement Saturday announcing Andy’s death on November 23, with his wife at his side. He was 40.
Andy was a champion in the wXw, winning their World Championship twice. He also won the Shotgun Championship and Tag Team titles 5 times. He also won the wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament in 2018.
In a statement, wXw said: “We wish Andy’s family and friends strength during this difficult time and ask that you give them the distance they need until we can say goodbye to Andy in the ring of wXw with the respect he merits.”
Andy began his wrestling career in 2003. He last wrestled for wXw in 2022.
