Ronda made a life-changing announcement at a San Diego Comic-Con Panel on Thursday.
Rousey revealed she and her husband Travis Browne were expecting their second child. The panel, hosted by former WWE star Dave Bautista was held to promote the launch a Kickstarter campaign of Rousey’s graphic novel.
In September 2021 Rousey welcomed their daughter La’akea Makalapuaokalanipo Browne. Rousey is a stepmom for Browne’s sons from his previous marriage. She and Browne started dating when they were UFC fighters. The couple has been married for two years.
Rousey draws inspiration for her graphic novel “Expecting The Unexpected” from her journey to become a mother. The story’s main characters are based on Rousey, and Browne.
Rousey, who is now focusing on building a career in writing, is the scriptwriter of a film Netflix will be developing about her.
Rousey left WWE in August 2023. She has not wrestled since November last year. Rousey, who has been critical of WWE’s former regime, is optimistic that the women’s division will improve under the Paul “Triple H Levesque” era.
She told TV Insider that she felt WWE had taken a step back after the main event at WrestleMania, but that now that Vince McMahon has left and Triple H is in charge, we are moving forward again. “I am extremely encouraged by the progress that is being made across the industry.”
