First wrestler qualifies to AEW x NJPW forbidden door TNT title match in todays Wrestling news
The first wrestler qualified for the ladder match that will crown a TNT Champion for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Konosuke Takashita defeated Penta el Zero Miedo in Friday’s AEW Rampage to become the first wrestler qualified for the Forbidden Door ladder.
Christopher Daniels, the new storyline authority on Dynamite this week, announced the ladder match that will determine a new TNT champion. Adam Copeland, who broke his tibia during his barbed-wire cage match title defense with Malakai Black on last Sunday’s pay-per view Double or Nothing, vacated the TNT Championship.
Forbidden door will kick off on Sunday, 30th June with the TNT title match and Swerve Strickland defending his AEW World Title against International Champion Will Ospreay. Ospreay earned his title shot by winning a casino gauntlet on Dynamite.
