A misdemeanor is still active.

WWE wrestler Liv Morgan’s (Gionna Daddoo) charge has been dropped.

Morgan was arrested last month in Florida on charges of possession a synthetic cannabinoid, and possession of marijuana (20 g or less). According to court records, the charge of possession of a synthesized cannabinoid was changed on January 2 to dropped/abandoned. The charge was originally classified as a felony.

Jack A. Goldberger, Morgan’s lawyer, issued the following statement in The Messenger: “We’re extremely pleased that State Attorney’s Office made the right decision not to pursue felony charges against Gionna.”

The charge of possession of marijuana remains, but has been transferred to the misdemeanor courts.

Morgan was arrested on December 14, after a Sumter County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled him over. The deputy claimed Morgan’s car crossed the yellow and white lines “several” times on the road. After approaching Morgan’s car, the deputy detected an odor of marijuana. The deputy found a vape pen, and a small bag of marijuana in a plastic bag.

Morgan was released on bond of $3,000 after his arrest.

Morgan has not been in the ring since July because of a shoulder injury. However, it was expected that she would be back soon. WWE believes that Morgan’s arrest is not a cause for concern and her return to the ring will happen as planned.
