The Elite laid Kenny Omega out after he promised he would return to the ring following diverticulitis. He addressed The Young Bucks’ recent actions and said he was a EVP and could not be fired from his position. Kazuchika Okada entered the ring. Omega challenged Okada but asked Okada for a few months. Okada claimed he was now the Best Bout Machine. Jack Perry then attacked Omega. Omega was about to knock out Perry, but Okada grabbed his arm on the outside. This allowed Perry to attack Omega using a steel chair.
The Young Bucks then walked out and acted worried, just like they did last week when Tony Khan was attacked. Then they attacked Omega using the EVP trigger. FTR rescued Dynamite by closing the door.
The Elite attacked FTR behind Omega as Rampage began. They hovered around Omega while Matthew apologized and said that what they were doing was business. They then threw Omega onto the cement floor in order to end the segment.
Omega, who was out of action from December onwards, revealed that he had diverticulitis. After 10 days in hospital, it was stated that he was only 24 hours from death when he first arrived and any damage to his middle was a “ticking time bomb”. He said that for the first time during his career he was afraid and seriously considered retiring. He watched Dynasty, and vowed to himself to keep trying.
