Mas Lucha reports that Vikingo’s match on Saturday at Arena Lopez Mateos was called off early after the AAA Mega Champion fell awkwardly on his knee. He was evaluated at the building, and it was feared that he might have ruptured a tendons.
Vikingo has only wrestled twice in AEW programming this year. He wrestled in four-way matches won by Trent Beretta and Komander, on the January 3 Dynamite taping.
Vikingo has also wrestled twice under the ROH banner this year. He successfully defended his Mega Championship against Action Andretti during the January 10 taping. Then, he teamed up with Penta El Zero Miedo to win a match against Jon Cruz and KM on the January 31 tape.
