Eddie Kingston’s absence from action could last longer than expected.
Kingston was not only injured by a broken leg, but also suffered a tibular break and a torn meniscus and ACL.
Originally, it was reported that he’d be out of commission for nine months after surgery. Kingston told PWInsider, however, that after meeting surgeons on Thursday he learned he wouldn’t be able get the surgery until July at the latest. This means that his return date will be May 2025.
Kingston says doctors told him to wait until his tibular break heals and to undergo physical therapy before they operate on his left knee.
The 42-year old was injured in his No Ropes/Last Man Standing bout with Gabe Kidd at the NJPW pay per view. He hit his leg against the guardrail after a suplex he took through a table outside. Kingston was involved in a post match angle with Jack Perry, the Young Bucks and other wrestlers. They would later claim credit for Kingston’s injury in AEW.
