Edwards will be around when Impact Wrestling returns to TNA.
Impact Wrestling’s mainstay will be returning to TNA for the company’s return.
On Thursday, it was announced that Eddie Edwards had re-signed with TNA Wrestling. Edwards has been with TNA Wrestling for almost a decade. He made his debut in 2014.
Edwards is a five-time Impact Tag Team Champion and a 2-time X-Division Champion.
Edwards told PWInsider that he didn’t find the new deal surprising. “I don’t think my friends and fans are surprised that I am staying around because everyone knows how I feel towards this company. I think right now, with all the excitement and momentum we have with TNA returning, it’s a no-brainer. “For me, it was an easy decision and I’m happy to be here. I will continue to be here as long as I am able.”
Edwards spent a large part of 2023 in a feud with Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian won a Killer Impact match in October that featured a two-out of-three-falls result.
Ace Austin and Chris Bey defended their Impact Tag Team titles at Impact Final Resolution last Saturday against Edwards & Brian Myers.
Impact Wrestling will rename itself TNA Wrestling beginning with the Hard to Kill pay per view on Saturday, January 13th 2024.
In recent weeks, TNA has announced the signing of KUSHIDA Trent Seven and Leon Slater. PCO has re-signed for the company.
