Adam Pearce announced McIntyre would not be cleared to compete in Raw.
Drew McIntyre has been eliminated from the King of the Ring Tournament.
Adam Pearce, the General Manager of X, posted a video shortly before Monday’s Raw announcing McIntyre “was not medically able” compete on the show. He was then removed from the King of the Ring Tournament. McIntyre had been scheduled to face Finn Balor as a first-round match.
McIntyre last wrestled on TV in April 8 when he lost to a four-way contest to determine the next number 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title. He hasn’t fought since April 20, when he was defeated by Jey Uso in Belfast during WWE’s European Tour.
Other matches in the men’s King of the Ring Tournament set for Raw are Kofi Kingston against Rey Mysterio and Ricochet against Ilja Dragunov. Gunther will face Sheamus. In the Queen of the Ring tournament, the first round matches include Zoey stark vs. Ivy Nile. Shayna baszler vs. Zelina Vega. Lyra Valkyria and Natalya.
