Dream match between Bryan Danielson and Katsuyori Schibata set for AEW Collision in todays Wrestling news
Danielson and Shibata are set to face off for the very first time.
Bryan Danielson will continue his personal dream match through AEW on Saturday’s Collision when he faces former NJPW superstar Katsuyori Schibata.
This will be the first time they have ever stepped into the ring. The storyline is that Shibata has returned to exact revenge on the Blackpool Combat Club.
Danielson, 42, is preparing to face Will Ospreay in April at AEW Dynasty’s pay-per view. He has been in the business for what he believes is his last year full-time. He has faced Kazuchika OKada and Yuji Ngata this year. He has also faced Zack Sabre Jr. Eddie Kingston, Jun Akiyama, Hechicero and Zack Sabre Jr.
This is Shibata’s first match since he lost the Ring of Honor Pure championship to BCC member Wheeler Yuta at a Rampage edition in late November. It’s his first match after signing an AEW deal in December.
Danielson won last Saturday against Shane Taylor.
