Mysterio is CM Punk’s first match in a WWE ring since his return to the company.

The 13-year rivalry of CM Punk with Dominik Mysterio has heated up.

Punk vs. Mysterio will be featured at WWE house shows in New York on December 26 and Los Angeles on December 30.

Punk, who was commentating at a Cage Fury FC show on Friday, promoted the Los Angeles event and took a jab at his opponent.

Punk said:

Come to the KIA Forum and watch me beat Dirty Dominik. Since he was 8 years old, I’ve wanted to punch this kid. Now that he is legal, I’m going destroy him.

Mysterio replied to Punk by posting a clip of Punk slipping from the top rope in an AEW match. He captioned his post, “Punch Me Like This Please …@CMPunk#bestintheworld.”

The clip is from Punk’s final match at the KIA Forum, Los Angeles. He was teaming up with FTR to take on The Gunns and Max Caster. Punk broke his foot when he jumped into the crowd moments before the match started. As a result, he was forced to leave the AEW World Championship.

Punk’s and Dominik’s bad blood goes back to an angle in 2010 involving Punk, Rey Mysterio. The Mysterios, including Dominik, Aalyah and Dominik, were frequently featured in the storyline. One of the most famous segments was when Punk sang “Happy Birthday” to Aalyah.
