Deonna Purrazzo addressed the recent Britt Baker – MJF AEW incident on stage in a recent interview.
Purrazzo, speaking with Stephanie Chase in She Digressed Stephanie Chase on Wrestling on She Digressed, acknowledged that the Baker/MJF incident that resulted in Baker’s suspension by AEW had “sparked a great deal of drama,” but said it was an isolated incident and not representative of the experiences Purrazzo had in the AEW locker rooms.
Purrazzo said:
“I think that this was a single incident that caused a lot of drama and also took on a whole life of its own. The rumor-mill starts and things aren’t as they used to be, you understand?
Purrazzo continued:
“And people add in their own two cents, and it makes it bigger than it was.” I believe this was an isolated event, because I’ve seen a lot of support, encouragement, and camaraderie in this locker room.
“We recently celebrated people’s Birthdays, we had cake and sang. I don’t think this locker room gets the credit it deserves for its camaraderie.
Purrazzo said that her experience at AEW’s locker room was nothing but positive.
“I don’t remember what it was like before.” I can only speak of my own experiences. “But I feel that, again, it is not given enough credit.”
Purrazzo will face Thunder Rosa this Saturday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on TNT in a Texas Bullrope Match.
