The ROH World Championships has a new number one contender.
Roderick Castle was defeated by Roderick Strong on AEW collision. He countered the bangarang to a knee strike and won. Strong will face Mark Briscoe on July 26 in Arlington, Texas for the ROH World Title.
Mark Briscoe’s promo aired after Strong’s win. He said he had the week off but that there was no week off for him when he is preparing for Blood & Guts as well as his ROH title defence. He wished Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and the Undisputed Kingdom good luck and told Strong that he’ll be seeing him at Death Before Dishonor.
The Undisputed kingdom has been focusing their attention on the Conglomeration and Kyle O’Reilly in recent weeks. Strong and The Kingdom are still trying to recruit O’Reilly, despite having turned against him several months earlier. This time, O’Reilly flatly rejected them. Instead, he sided with Briscoe & Cassidy.
