SANADA, Hirooki and Goto both made it to the semi-finals of New Japan Cup.
SANADA secured his place in the semifinals after defeating Jack Perry on Saturday in a match in the quarterfinals at NJPW’s event in Nagoya. David Finlay vs. Goto was also scheduled to take place during the show. However, Finlay was unable to compete due to illness. Goto instead advanced into the semifinals through forfeit.
NJPW announced that David Finlay would not be competing [on Saturday] at Nagoya because of illness. “He is currently being evaluated at a local clinic.” Hirooki will advance to semifinals by forfeit.”
The New Japan Cup semifinals will take place on Monday, March 18. The first confirmed semifinal is SANADA vs. Goto.

The New Japan Cup Finals will be held on March 20. The winner will face Tetsuya Nito in the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Sakura Genesis, on Saturday, April 6,
