An MRI revealed that Darby Allin had not suffered a broken nose in Sunday’s Anarchy in the Arena game at AEW Double Or Nothing as some feared.

Bryan Alvarez, our Wrestling Observer Radio host, revealed the news on last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio. He said that while Allin did “messe up” his nose during the match, an MRI cleared any concerns about a possible fracture. Alvarez said Allin received a “clean health bill.”

Allin posted a picture of himself on social media the following day, as seen above. He wore a protective face mask decorated with tacks while playing the match, as he had been struck by a bus in the face.

The Elite (Jack Perry & Young Bucks) defeated Allin, FTR, and Bryan Danielson in the main event of the night. The violent event featured a flaming chair, tables with tacks, and sneakers with tacks on the bottom. Allin hung feet-first upside-down for several minutes using a winch.

Alvarez said that Allin was in excruciating discomfort when he was hanging upside-down with blood flowing to his head. He also noted Allin does not appear to be fully recovered from a fractured foot, as he said Allin was running down to the ring to play Sunday’s match before he slowed down.

Adam Copeland also suffered a broken tibia during his barbed-wire steel cage match against Malakai Black. He landed almost feet-first, after diving from the top of the cage on to a prone Black lying out on a desk.
