Darby Allin, AEW’s Darby, is planning a big climb in 2025 and a huge fall in 2025.

Allin spoke with the Dallas Morning News about the upcoming big pay-per view and the climb to Mount Everest.

Allin, who is prone to injury, had to abandon his plans to climb Mount Everest this March after breaking his foot in a match against Jay White at Dynamite: Big Business. He had planned to leave about two weeks after the match but his plans changed.

Allin told the media outlet he still plans to attempt the climb in April next year.

“You can only climb the mountain two months of the year.” If I could have climbed it at any time, I would be there right now. But, you have to wait a whole year,” he said. He added that he had trained for nine months, which others said would require years.

“Everyone was saying, ‘Maybe the foot break is a signal that you shouldn’t be doing it.’ I said, Hell no! That’s a good sign that I should do next year. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions leading up to it. I’ve always wanted to do this, but now it’s even more important to me. It’s like the moment was taken from me. “I’m super excited about it,” he said.

Allin, who will face TBS Champion Jack Perry at All In: London this Sunday, confirmed that Renee Paquette’s tweet said that he had already scouted out Globe Life Field in preparation for next year’s All In. He was hoping to create a match that would make a “lasting impact” on the audience and inspire other future wrestlers.

“…I walked around, looking at all the buildings and thinking, “What can I fall from?” To me, these stadiums have a certain aura. Every time I walk in, I think, “What can I do to leave a lasting impact?” And I put myself into the shoes of a fourth-grade kid, you understand? What will I remember if I see something? It’s amazing how much you can impact people’s lives with this wrestling stuff. I don’t take this for granted. It’s crazy, you know. Just how you can change someone’s life and inspire them is what he said.

Allin equated later his efforts to creating memorable moments, like those he watched with Mick Foley or Jeff Hardy. If that moment changes a life like it changed for him, then it was worth it.

“So, if I have to sacrifice myself on Globe Life Field, that’s fine,” he said.
