Damian Priest gives an update on his injury following his match at Clash At The Castle.
Priest admitted that his knee was not feeling well, but he is confident he will be able to perform.
“It feels trash now,” said he. “I haven’t even been to medical yet, so I can do this and answer all your questions. You’re welcome. Docs will look at it, but I’m not going anywhere. I beat Drew McIntyre on one foot so I’m pretty confident I’m good to go.”
Priest did a step-over to the outside of ring during the World Heavyweight Title match. Priest’s ankle became entangled in the ropes when it got caught. Priest finished the match, despite the injury.
Triple H mentioned the injury in the later press conference. He hoped that it wasn’t serious.
“I hope I get good news when I leave because I’m sure that adrenaline is carrying him along. He’s walking around fine now.” There is a thin line between what we do and what we don’t do.
Priest retained his World Heavyweight title at Saturday’s premium event. He won with a south of heaven chokeslam, after CM punk ran down as a ref to distract McIntyre.
