Bryan Danielson will take on Eddie Kingston this coming Wednesday.
After the events of Saturday’s AEW collision, Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston will face off in the Continental Classic Blue League Finals on Wednesday’s AEW dynamite.
The winner of the Gold League will face the winner of the Gold League match between Swerve Strickland and Jay White on Wednesday. The winner of the overall tournament, which will be decided on Saturday at Worlds End, will be crowned as the modern-day AEW Triple Crown Champion. (AEW Continental Champion vs. Ring of Honor World Champion vs. NJPW Strong Openweight Title).
Danielson earned ten points for his draw with Claudio Castagnoli in the opening show. Kingston, on the other hand, was able to gain entry after pinning Andrade el Idolo during the main event of the evening, earning him nine points. Andrade had nine points as well, but Kingston won the head-to-head match and advanced.
Daniel Garcia (three point) won his first Blue League win by defeating Brody King (six points) on the show, eliminating King from contention.
Danielson beat Kingston in Blue League competition at the beginning of this month. He taunted him afterwards with a sign that said “Eddie’s a bum”, which was mentioned on commentary. Danielson is 2-0 against Kingston, who is currently the ROH World & NJPW Strong Openweight champion.
