Cody Rhodes teases WWE NXT debut in todays Wrestling news
Cody Rhodes teases an appearance on NXT Tuesday.
During NXT Battleground Rhodes posted to X that he might visit Florida this coming week with a present to visit some old friend, specifically mentioning Ethan Page.
Rhodes wrote: “Watching @WWENXT Battleground curious to see how my old friend, @OfficialEGO, will do against @_trickwilliams. (Actually considering “dashing down” to FL with a present and visit some old friends this week),” Rhodes said.
Rhodes has appeared on NXT a few times, including last autumn when he announced two tournaments – the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as well as the Men’s breakout Tournament.
New matches have been announced for Battleground on Tuesday’s NXT. Je’Von Evans and Shawn Spears will be facing off after a brawl on last week’s episode. Michin will face Jaida Parker after their ladder match on Sunday’s premium event to crown the NXT Women’s North American champion.
Here is the official lineup for this Tuesday’s NXT:
- Singapore cane match: Lexis King vs. Dante Chen
- Shawn Spears vs. Je’Von Evans
- Michin vs. Jaida Parker
- Wendy Choo returns
