Cody Rhodes’ tour bus caught fire before WrestleMania.
Rhodes revealed in a tweet that his tour bus had caught fire Thursday night. The fire did not cause any injuries, and Rhodes thanked Philadelphia Fire Department for their handling of the situation.
“Before anyone else hears it, my tour bus caught on fire last night,” wrote he. “Everyone is safe and okay. The two items I grabbed just before I left will probably be popular with wrestling fans. “Thank you again, @PhillyFireDept.”
Rhodes appeared as a guest on The Pat McAfee Show a few days after sending the tweet. He revealed that he grabbed pictures of his wife and daughter, as well as his WrestleMania boots.
“There’s nobody more prepared for WrestleMania here than me,” Rhodes said.
Rhodes said that the bus “didn’t burn to a crisp,” but for a brief moment it was ablaze. All went well except that Rhodes’ suits smell like fire.
WWE is in Philadelphia this weekend for WrestleMania and its surrounding events.
Lincoln Financial Field will host WrestleMania forty this Saturday and Sunday. Rhodes will compete in the main event on both nights. The main event of night one will be Rhodes and Seth Rollins against. The Rock & Roman Revigns. The Rock & Roman Reigns.
