Rhodes is the earliest to declare for 2024 Royal Rumble.

Cody Rhodes will be competing in the Royal Rumble.

After Rhodes spoke about his team’s victory at Survivor Series he said he would be the first person to declare for the WWE Royal Rumble which will take place on January 29, in Florida. The arena went dark when Shinsuke appeared on the screen. He revealed that Rhodes was the person he’d been talking about over the past few weeks, and promised chaos. He then appeared in front of Rhodes, misted him and caused him to fall.

Rhodes won the Royal Rumble last year, eliminating Gunther as his last opponent. He then challenged Roman Reigns to a match at WrestleMania, where he lost the Undisputed WWE Championship.

At Survivor Series, Rhodes’ team won the match by defeating The Bloodline, and Drew McIntyre. Randy Orton came out at the end of the match to even up the odds in favor of Rhodes’s team. He hit JD McDonagh off the steel cage with an RKO. Rhodes then pinned Damian Priest using the crossroads.
