CM Punk signs Paradigm Talent Agency in todays Wrestling news
CM Punk, the latest WWE wrestler who has joined Paradigm Talent Agency.
Deadline reported Wednesday that Punk had signed with the agency for “representation across all areas”. The news comes only one week after Tiffany Stratton’s representation by the same agency was announced. In April, the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest also signed with Paradigm.
Punk, 45, is said to be “looking forward to expanding his presence in the entertainment industry.” His acting credits include two seasons as wrestler Ricky Rabies on Heels. He also played Paul, an Iraq War veteran with PTSD in four episodes of Mayans FC.
Punk’s former WWE wrestler wife AJ Lee (AJ Mendez) commented on the news via a post in her Instagram Stories.
Deadline’s report noted Punk’s return in WWE late last year, “immediately helping Raw ratings rise by 29 percent during the period when WWE negotiated its $5 billion 10-year media rights deal with Netflix.”
Matt Grober wrote: “After his return, Punk sold more than $1,000,000 in merchandise within 24 hours. He continues to be the top merchandise-seller for the WWE ever since his return.”
