CM Punk had a special encounter with Jesse Ventura on Monday’s WWE Raw.
The former governor visited the show, as Raw was broadcast from Minnesota, Ventura’s state. He didn’t appear in front the crowd but a video of Paul “Triple H”, Levesque, greeting Ventura earlier that day was shown on TV. Michael Cole welcomed Ventura to WWE.
Ventura tweeted photos of him with Punk and Damian Priest from Raw. Punk described the interaction between Ventura and him on the SI Media podcast and said it was one of the coolest experiences he’s ever had.
Punk said, “I saw Governor Ventura just the other day.” “Absolutely 100% blown away. One of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me is when he told me he had seen me come back and said, “The place must have been changed.” I’ll return if Punk is back. ‘”
Punk said that he cannot take credit for Ventura’s return to the WWE fold.
Punk said, “I’m not taking credit for it but I think that a guy returning like me speaks volumes.” “Of course it does.”
Ventura revealed in early this year that he had been in negotiations for a WWE Legends deal. Ventura said that he was willing and able to talk to WWE again because the company is moving in a different direction now that Vince McMahon is no longer involved.
Ventura was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. During his legendary career, Ventura was both a commentator and wrestler.
Punk returned to WWE in November last year. He suffered a torn right triceps at the Royal Rumble, but will be back on action when he takes on Drew McIntyre this Saturday at SummerSlam. Seth Rollins is the special referee of the match.
