WWE Raw aired new comments from Punk following his triceps operation.
“My comeback is going to be the greatest ever,” says CM Punk.
Punk made new comments in a vignette that aired on Monday’s WWE Raw, following the star’s surgery to repair a torn triceps on his right side. The injury occurred in the Royal Rumble match of January 27. Punk promised his return after the injury setback will be “the greatest ever.”
The video showed Punk entering and leaving surgery. It also showed Punk struggling to open a zipper on a back pack.
“This is the most frustrating task, small simple tasks like these.”
Punk also said that the mental aspect of his injury rehab was more difficult than the physical pain:
“I’m in a lot pain.” It’s more mental than anything else. I can handle pain and I can power through PT [physical treatment]. The mental aspect is harder than the physical.”
The triceps injury is the latest of a series serious injuries that Punk has suffered, including a torn triceps left at AEW all Out in September 2022 and a broken leg suffered in June 2022 during an AEW Dynamite performance.
