CM Punk confirms triceps injuries, says WWE WrestleMania is ‘not on the cards’ in todays Wrestling news
Punk confirmed that he tore both triceps during the Royal Rumble.
CM Punk won’t be at WrestleMania.
Punk confirmed to WWE Raw that he tore the right tricep in the Royal Rumble match last Saturday. As a result, he will be out of the ring for the foreseeable, including WrestleMania. He said that although WrestleMania is not in his plans, he will be back next year.
Drew McIntyre appeared as Punk was cutting his promo and told him that he had prayed for this to happen. Now he would find a way to make it to the main event at WrestleMania, and live Punk’s dream once again. Punk told McIntyre that his heart hurts worse than his tricep. He will rehab, and when he returns he will headline WrestleMania. But first, he would go after McIntyre.
McIntyre then attacked Punk by headbutting and stomping his injured tricep. Sami Zayn saved the day as referees attended to Punk.
Punk’s WrestleMania status was questioned earlier on Monday when it was reported that he had torn the right triceps. Punk tore his left tricep in 2022 at AEW all Out. He recovered from the injury in time for the debut of AEW Collision in June last year.
