Flair appeared Monday on CNBC’s ‘Power Lunch,’ to discuss her recent successes in a stock-market competition. During the interview, she was asked about her recovery after knee surgery.
Flair said:
I’m six-weeks out on Thursday. I’m ahead and every day I think about returning to the ring. With all the excitement surrounding The Rock, Netflix, WrestleMania in Philadelphia and all the excitement surrounding The Rock, I think about getting back to the ring and winning that 15th number.
Flair suffered a torn MCL, ACL and meniscus during a match with Asuka on the 8th of December. Flair confirmed in early January that she had undergone surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. She is expected to miss nine months of action.
She continued:
Netflix has 250 millions subscribers, so WWE’s content will only become more popular. WWE has always been innovative, whether it’s Raw or SmackDown schedule, or pay-per view schedule.
And the Rock returning, bringing even more eyes to the product. I think sports entertainment has a huge rise in popularity right now. Netflix will be a huge hit for everyone in the WWE, from talent to creatives to those who work with the programming.
