The length of Chad Gable’s WWE contract was revealed.
Gable stated in a recent interview that the contract he signed in June with the company is for three years.
Gable announced on the show that he had re-signed for three more years with the company. “I am grateful to extend my relationship with a company that has done so much for myself, given me the opportunity to do things that I would never have thought I would be able to do. I have traveled around the world, back and forth, a hundred times, it feels like. I have seen things I would never have seen, met people I would never have met and lived a childhood fantasy that so many people never get to live.
“I’m so excited to continue that relationship,” he said.
If you ask me, I still have 10 years in me. I feel as good as ever physically, but to be at the peak of my career is amazing.
Gable signed his first contract with WWE in November 2013, and made his NXT TV debut in January 2015. He has won the NXT tag titles, Raw and SmackDown, but he hasn’t won a singles title in his WWE career. This is something he discussed with Chris Van Vliet.
“I am also disappointed that I did not (win a title in singles) during this whole run (with Sami Zayn). I don’t want the fans to think that he is great, but also that he can’t win a big one. I know that I am capable of winning the big one. This is making that first win almost as important to me as it has ever been for anyone else. Gunther’s stuff, and what it did for me, what Gunther has done for my career cannot be overstated. I owe him so much for the way he elevated my career. We accomplished so much in a short time, both from a storytelling and in-ring perspective. I think it was the perfect amount of time for me to say that he did a lot there, got a lot done, but didn’t win the title. We still have one piece to complete, and I almost regret that it didn’t occur then. It didn’t require it. I didn’t have to. “But now I need it and so now, it’s still there.”
