Cedric Alexander will remain with WWE in the near future, as Fightful reported. He re-signed with the company last spring.
The only other detail reported was that the agreement is for several years.
During a Friday virtual signing session, MVP, a former Hurt Business stablemate, said that he believed Alexander had resigned.
The 35-year old made his WWE debut in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic. In August 2016, he made his main-roster debut as a member of the cruiserweights division. He won the title at WrestleMania 33 in 2018 before losing it the following October.
He joined the Hurt Business faction and held the Raw Tag Team title with Shelton Benjamin nearly three months until March 2021. He also held the 24/7 titles three times.
Alexander has been a member of the NXT roster since July. He won a match against Brooks Jensen in July’s Great American Bash episode, which was also his last appearance. Along the way, Alexander also aligned himself with Ashante Adonis that began with SmackDown Dark Matches in late-2023.
